Dig
It Community Garden is nestled within a residential area of
Mornington, Formerly a
croquet
club and established in the spring of 2000 ,it is now a
wonderful green space where people of mixed backgrounds and
abilities can get together to share and learn gardening
skills.

Dig
it has a commitment to its community and is managed by and for
local people on a voluntary basis.
Dig
It has formed a successful working partnership with Mornington
Peninsula Youth Enterprises with its thriving Farmers Market held
monthly at our local primary school .This provides a much needed
cash flow for some of the projects within the garden that services
members and the wider community.
Our
garden features 50 plots and 4 raised beds, a small orchard, a wood
fired oven that will be part of an outdoor kitchen project and a
small frog pond and habitat area that is home to many creatures .
Our
membership is largely made up of local residents plus interest has
grown from other community and disability groups such as Vision
Australia, Peninsula Support Services, Peninsula Access Support and
Training, Chisholm TAFE, Peninsula Community Health Services,
Naranga School and Mornington South Pre School.
